Emily Blunt and John Krasinski both have stellar acting careers to their names, but did you know they also have an adorable real-life family?

Blunt, 40, and Krasinski, 43, met back in 2008 at a restaurant in Los Angeles and, after hitting it off, were engaged less than a year later.

Then, in 2010, the actors tied the knot in a picturesque ceremony on Lake Como, Italy. Fast forward to 2023, and they have been married more than 13 years, and have two adorable daughters together.

While the couple keep their family life relatively low key, from the glimpses they do share with us, it’s easy to see why their relationship has become a fan favourite

In 2013, for example, when interviewed for the cover of InStyle, Blunt said that meeting Krasinski “changed her life.”

“When I feel the support that I have from him, I feel invincible. There’s someone behind you on your good days and someone in front of you on your bad days.” Does it get any sweeter than that?

And Krasinski has shared a similar sentiment for his wife, telling E! News in 2019 that the secret to their marriage was that it happened “organically.”

“It’s one of those things where I was a huge fan of hers before I even met her, so I continue to be a huge fan of hers in everything she does. So we’re just extremely supportive, we get what the job is and that you gotta travel and do some stuff, but it’s always about coming back home and being together, it’s the most important thing,” he said.

So, in honour of this steadfast Hollywood romance, below, everything we know about John Kranski and Emily Blunt’s children.

Hazel, 9

On February 16, 2014, Krasinski and Blunt welcomed their eldest daughter, Hazel.

Krasinski took to Twitter to share the news with fans, writing, “Pics of kids should only come direct from parents. So I’m thrilled to introduce you guys to Hazel!!!” alongside a snap of the adorable newborn.

In 2021, when Hazel was 7, Blunt revealed just how well she and Krasinski had done at shielding their daughter from fame.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, the actress said, “if [my children] can remain oblivious [of our fame] for the longest time I’d be thrilled.”

She went on to reveal that Hazel had arrived home from school recently and asked, “Are you famous?”

“And I’d never heard her… We’ve never said that word in our house. We don’t talk about it,” the actress continued. “Someone at school had clearly said it. I was like, ‘Um…not really, I don’t think I am.’”

In 2023, Hazel turned 9, a milestone that Blunt said made her rethink her approach to being a working mother.

“This year, I’m not working. I worked quite a bit last year and my oldest baby is 9, so we’re in the last year of single digits,” she said on an episode of the iHeart podcast, Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi.

“And I just feel [like] there are cornerstones to their day that are so important when they’re little. And it’s, ‘Will you wake me up? Will you take me to school? Will you pick me up? Will you put me to bed?’ And I just need to be there for all of them for a good stretch. And I just felt that in my bones.”

Violet, 7

Violet was born in June 2016, with Krasinski again taking to Twitter to announce the news.

“What better way to celebrate the 4th… than to announce our 4th family member!!! 2 weeks ago we met our beautiful daughter Violet #Happy4th,” he wrote.

According to Blunt, their youngest daughter is taking after her British mum. In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2020, Blunt shared that Violet and Hazel were attending a school in London during the pandemic.

As a result, however, she said Violet had picked up a British accent.

“My little one sent me a video — well she didn’t actually send it but someone sent it — of her singing ‘Jingle Bells,’ and she goes, ‘Jingle ol’ da waye!’ Almost like a Cockney,” she laughed.

“It was almost like Dick Van Dyke singing ‘Jingle Bells.’ The craziest accent ever — it was kind of brilliant.”
