Alert the group chat, Ed Sheeran is bringing his guitar and emotional gut-punch tunes back to Australia for a new tour.
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter announced his return to Aussie shores in early 2026, marking his first tour here since his record-breaking 2023 stadium run.
The news came via a virtual press conference, with Sheeran dialling in from London to Sydney’s Lord Dudley Hotel in Woollahra.
The iconic Sydney pub had transformed for the day into the ‘Old Phone Pub’, a pop-up concept from the musician that he olso featured in the music video for his song, ‘Old Phone’.
Sheeran’s Australian tour is in line with the release of his upcoming album, Play , due out September 12th. While it’s yet to be confirmed, and likely won’t be revealed until the tour unfolds, the Australian leg of Ed’s tour could feature a few musical special guests. The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ singer is known for bringing out surprise guests at his shows, including a recent performance from James Blunt.
The signer also took to Instagram to share the news of his tour, which kicks off in Australia and New Zealand, delighting fans not just here but globally.
“Starting a brand new tour next year called the LOOP tour. New stage, new tricks, new set up, new songs and all the classics added in. We kick it off in Australia and New Zealand in Jan, Feb, March 2026, which is always the best time, I can’t wait to be back. Tickets on sale Tues 29th July, see you all there x” he wrote.
Ed Sheeran Australian Tour Pre-Sale Tickets
There will be two pre-sale events for Ed Sheeran’s Australian LOOP tour, one via Telstra and one with Frontier Touring, before the general public sale begins on July 29.
Telstra’s pre-sale for Ed Sheeran tickets began on July 25th, while The Frontier Touring pre-sale will go on sale for Frontier Members starting July 28, see full times below
