Wild news

In news that will have you kicking your feet harder than when Rhys Dupris told his boss to keep his wife’s name out of his [explicit] mouth, Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill book series is getting it’s own television adaptation.

Cue excited squealing.

According to Variety, Silver’s books are being adapted into a series at Amazon MGM Studios.

There’s very little information about the project, however we do know Silver will be an executed producer on the show alongside Wyck Godfrey, who is working on Emily Henry’s People We Meet On Vacation adaptation, as well Marty Bowen, and James Seidman.

Exactly when we can expect a release is, unsurprisingly, impossible to say. And a cast list? Out of the question for now, but that won’t stop us fan casting in the meantime.

Silver confirmed the news via her Instagram, but also remained tight-lipped on details.

“In a true “pinch me” moment I am beyond thrilled to share that my Rose Hill series is in development for television! I’m honored to be working with an incredible team at @amazonmgmstudios and @templehillent . I know that these characters are in the best hands and cannot wait to see this very special town come to life on screen. 👏🤩” she captioned the post.

What Is The Rose Hill Series About?

Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill collection is a connected, anthological series based in a small town, you guessed it, called Rose Hill. There are three books in the series so far – Wild Love, Wild Eyes and Wild Side – with the fourth, Wild Card, due out in September this year.

Each book follows a new character and love interest but all make appearances in each of the novels thanks to a linked friendship group or small town connection.

The official logline for the series reads: “Welcome to Rose Hill, a small town nestled in the Rocky Mountains, where crystal-clear lakes, iconic honky-tonks, and wide-open skies create the perfect backdrop for creativity, reinvention—and falling in love. In this warm, sexy, and heartfelt ensemble drama, both lifelong locals and big-city transplants discover that love is messiest when it’s real, and family is often the one you build.”

Elsie Silver Rose Hill Book Order

If you’re yet to dive into the Rose Hill series, we highly recommend reading the books before the TV adaptation comes to screens. And, let’s be honest, you’ll likely have plenty of time to do that.

So, what is the correct order to read this collection of books from Silver?

Technically, because each book follows new main characters, you could pick up any and not find yourself scratching your head. But, Elsie Silver purists suggest you read them in chronological order of their publishing date to best appreciate the character development and progression of their stories as they intersect with others.

As such, the correct order to read the Rose Hill series is to pick up Wild Love first, followed by Wild Eyes then Wild Side and later this year, finally, Wild Card.
