It seems there was a love famine on 2026’s Farmer Wants a Wife, with the last remaining couple, Farmer Zac and Maya, calling it quits.
The couple announced the news on Instagram, citing the challenges of long-distance as the reason behind their breakup.
“From the beginning, our connection was strong. We then became each other’s best friends, which led us into an amazing relationship,” their joint caption read.
“Navigating our relationship while being long-distance proved to be no easy journey. The timing for us to make that next move wasn’t right, and unfortunately, this shifted the relationship. We have therefore decided to go our separate ways.”
They continued, “We are so incredibly grateful to Farmer Wants a Wife for bringing us together. We will both cherish the memories and experiences we shared forever. We still have an immense amount of love and respect for each other, and definitely zero bad blood 🤍”

The message was accompanied by a highlights reel of their FWAW journey, with Mazzy Star’s Fade Into You serenading the montage in the background—this really is serious.
Fellow contestant Ally, who was Farmer Dylan’s final partner, offered her support in the comments.
“Love you Both x Two of the most beautiful people I know, I feel so lucky to have met you and watch your relationship grow and flourish, and this ending doesn’t define the love that came before it 💌 Wishing you both nothing but happiness for the next chapter 🤍”
There is an interesting post-FWAW twist, too. Maya and Ally’s former beaus, Farmer Zac and Farmer Dylan, have since teamed up to launch a podcast together where the two farmers dish on BTS moments of the show.
Maya and Zac’s breakup means every single couple from this season has now gone their separate ways, despite the show’s usual reputation for producing solid love stories. At least they all seemed to have walked away with good friends?
