Farmer Zac has made his final choice in a tear-filled episode that saw the apple orchardist pick Maya over Mieke.
While many of this year’s farmers had a clear front-runner from the start of the 2026 season, the choice wasn’t as clear-cut for Zac.
Even as he shared his final feelings with Mieke, Zac admitted they had an “undeniable spark”.
“That chemistry we have and that spark is undeniable,” he told her, “I keep wondering ‘What if, what if I’d met you sooner?’”
It was clear his glowing confession was about to take a turn when he added: “But when it comes to a future I can’t keep thinking about the what ifs.
“I have to do what I think is best. It’s something I can’t see with you, with us.”
“I was really hoping he was going to choose me, but I had a feeling it wasn’t me,” Mieke told Woman’s Day. “I was like, you really strung me along with that one!”
His heart belongs to another, and that person is 22-year-old medical receptionist Maya.
After a tearful breakup with Mieke, farmer Zac confessed his love to his final pick, Maya. It was a heartwarming declaration that had us rooting for the couple to make it post-show.

Are Farmer Zac & Maya Still Together?
“From the moment I met you instantly wiped the nerves from me,” Zac told her. “You’ve been an absolute bundle of joy, that has brought excitement, happiness and laughter to every moment we’ve had together.”
He went on: “When you expressed your feelings about potentially going home, it was then in that moment that I truly realised how close I was to losing you, and you were someone I absolutely wanted to fight for.”
Cute! But what we really want to know is whether the couple are still together?
While neither Zac nor Maya have confirmed or denied they’re still a couple post-show, one tiny social media slip may have given it away.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted a blurry photo in an Instagram carousel from February, posted by fellow contestant Scarlett, who was Dylan’s final pick.
It’s a stretch, but the couple in the photo do seem to resemble Zac and Maya.
