We’re well into Farmer Wants A Wife season 16, with all five farmers embracing the experience with open minds and open hearts, including Farmer Zac.

The apple orchardist from Forest Range in South Australia told 7News that he’d been searching for a partner since he was a teenager and hoped Farmer Wants A Wife would finally lead him to the person who’s “absolutely right” for him.

While his farm has seen more than its fair share of drama between the contestants, a handful of frontrunners have emerged, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that one may just be the apple of Zac’s eye.

So, will the youngest farmer this season find the love he’s been searching for? Whether you’re only just tuning in or need a refresher on everything that’s happened so far, here’s a complete look at Farmer Zac’s Farmer Wants A Wife journey as it unfolds.

At just 24, Farmer Zac is the youngest farmer looking for love this season, but don’t mistake his age for inexperience. The South Australian apple grower has spent years working on his family’s orchard in the Adelaide Hills, where life is dictated by the seasons, the weather and plenty of hard work.

Based in Forest Range, his days can involve everything from pruning and grafting to mowing, thinning trees and harvesting fruit, depending on the time of year.

Growing up in such a close-knit community has shaped the kind of future Zac hopes to build. As the youngest of four siblings, family plays a huge role in his life, and he’s looking for a relationship that naturally fits into the world he’s already created.

That became clear when his twin sister, Isobel, stepped in to warn him about the season’s resident villain, Miranda Chopping. After Miranda’s behaviour towards the other women raised concerns, frontrunner Maya confided in Isobel, sharing what had been happening behind the scenes. Zac ultimately booted Miranda off the show, allowing him to continue his search for the woman he hopes to spend the rest of his life with.

Despite living on a picturesque orchard that’s ideal for romantic dates, Zac says meeting women has never been the issue. Instead, it’s been finding someone whose values align with his own and who can genuinely picture a future in regional Australia.

Joining Farmer Wants A Wife was a leap outside his comfort zone. Although naturally easy-going, he has admitted he was incredibly nervous before filming began and even experienced a panic attack as cameras prepared to roll. Still, his desire to find a lifelong partner outweighed those fears.

Meet The Other Farmers

Like all of the farmers, Zac began the season by speed dating eight women: Grace, Mieke, Jessica, Miranda, Maya, Holly, Jess and Chelsea. With only five women able to return to the farm, Holly, Jess and Chelsea were sent home.

It didn’t take long for the drama to begin. Miranda quickly found herself at the centre of the tension, first clashing with Jessica, who struggled with the reality of Zac dating multiple women. After Jessica chose to leave the farm, Miranda turned her attention to Maya, but her behaviour ultimately caught up with her and Zac sent her home.

The arrival of intruder Asha briefly shook things up. Zac chose to bring her back to the farm after the pair enjoyed a sweet one-on-one date, but Asha later decided to leave, feeling Zac had already formed stronger connections with the other women.

That leaves just three women still in the running for Zac’s heart.

Who Has Farmer Zac Eliminated?

After farewelling Holly, Jess and Chelsea following the speed dates, the next woman to leave Zac’s farm was Jessica, who chose to remove herself from the competition after struggling with the reality of dating a man pursuing multiple relationships. Next came Miranda, the season’s resident villain, whose behaviour towards the other women ultimately led Zac to send her home.

Since leaving the show, Miranda has been very active on social media. Weeks after her elimination, she reignited tensions with Zac by posting a reaction video to the Country Fair episode, where she criticised several contestants, questioned Zac’s decisions and said she wished she could return to “put” Grace “in her place”.

Zac and Isobel responded with a TikTok reacting to her commentary, prompting Miranda to hit back, posting a video with the caption “grateful because at least I’m not weirdly obsessed with my brother lol.” Yikes. Safe to say, we don’t think this feud is over yet.
