If season one of Nobody Wants This was for falling in love, season two is all about what comes after. Atleast, that’s what we’re picking up from the first trailer for the sophomore season.
Netflix has released the first look at what’s to come when Joanne and our favourite hot Rabbi return.
“First comes love, then comes life,” the synopsis for season two reads.
“Their spark proved stronger than all of the obstacles trying to keep them apart. Now, they’re back and fully committed to merging their lives – and loved ones — together. But their differences still exist and can’t be ignored. The challenge now is not just falling in love against all odds, but staying together in spite of them.”

From the outset it’s clear the couple are in that gooey, gag-worthy honeymoon stage of their relationship – just ask Joanne’s sister, Morgan, who can’t seem to stomach it.
“Breaking news, you’re in a psychotically annoying relationship, way to make all our single listeners feel bad,” Morgan says.
But, as she aptly warns: “love isn’t solid until you’re out of the honeymoon phase – when you blend your lives and your friends.”
Could the love bubble be primed to pop when real-life dilemmas start to weigh on that glossy, fragile exterior of early love? From the look of the trailer, we’re more than a little concerned…
Fans also get their first glimpse of new cast members like Leighton Meester and Seth Rogan.
Leighton, who is married to Adam in real life, joins the show as Abby, Joanne’s middle-school nemesis who has now rebranded as an Instagram mommy influencer.
Meanwhile, Seth Rogen joins the cast in a guest role as Rabbi Neil, though details about how he fits into the story remain mostly under wraps.
When Does Season Two Return?
There’s just one more month to wait with season two of Nobody Wants This officially landing on Netflix on October 23, 2025.
