Upcoming dramedy Honeymoon With Harry is heading to Queensland this April, bringing Kevin Costner, Jake Gyllenhaal and marie claire Australia’s May cover star, Sarah Pidgeon to our shores.

What Is Honeymoon With Harry Actually About?
Based on the novel by Bart Baker, Honeymoon with Harry follows hard-living, hard-drinking Todd Cartwright — a reformed womaniser who falls completely apart when his fiancée Tammy is killed before their wedding.
Determined to drown his grief on the honeymoon alone, Todd arrives at the airport to find Tammy’s overprotective father Harry already there, ashes in hand. Forced together at a tropical resort, two men who despise each other slowly discover they share the one thing that matters: they both loved the same woman.
Dan Fogelman, the genius behind This Is Us, co-wrote and produced the film alongside directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa — the same trio who gave us Crazy, Stupid, Love back in 2011. So yes, prepare to ugly cry.
Where In Australia Is Honeymoon With Harry Being Filmed?
Production for Honeymoon With Harry is shooting across Brisbane, including the inner suburb of Teneriffe, and the stunning Whitsunday Islands. — and honestly, the locations might just steal the show from the cast.
The directors certainly think so. “Queensland has everything we could hope for — we’re doing Chicago, the Caribbean and everything in between, all within a day’s reach,” Glenn Ficarra and John Requa said.
Pidgeon is no stranger to Australia having filmed the I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel at the end of 2024 in New South Wales, specifically Sydney’s most iconic suburbs — Paddington, Newport Beach and Watson’s Bay.
