The news that iconic EDM festival Tomorrowland is heading to Australia has had lovers of the music genre in a frenzy. Talk of the festival heading to Melbourne in 2026 first began thanks to one fleeting video posted by a festival attendee.
Over the weekends of July 18-20 and 25-27, electronic dance music fans took to the infamous festival held in Boom, Belgium for the 2025 event.
While there, attendees noted some interesting signage posted around the grounds that hinted at Tomorrowland’s possible global expansion, including Melbourne, Australia. Now, Tomorrowland Australia’s Melbourne event is officially confirmed.
Is Tomorrowland Coming To Melbourne, Australia In 2026?
Yes! A video posted by festival-goer, @mofftits, first sparked speculation online that Tomorrowland festival is heading to Melbourne, Australia in 2026.
In the clip, we can see a world map lining the path to the CORE stage at the Belgium-held festival. On the map, various destinations around the globe have been highlighted with dates suggesting future plans for the festival’s expansion. Melbourne is highlighted with a November 2026 date, as well as Brazil and Los Angeles.
The signage also directs people to its website Core.World.
Weeks on from the initial excitement, the website has been updated to confirm the Melboure-based festival.
“CORE is heading ‘Down Under’ for the first time with its debut in Melbourne, Australia,” it reads.
Tomorrowland Melbourne Dates
Following the initial teaser pointing to the end of 2026 for Tomorrowland, Melbourne, a firm date of Saturday, 28th of November has now been confirmed by the festival organisers.
“CORE Melbourne will capture the essence of the brand: the finest music in a natural, enchanting setting,” the site reads alongside the date announcement.

Core.World have confirmed a line-up and ticketing infor for the festival is still yet to come but “will be revealed in early 2026.”
