Kanye West has been hospitalized for exhaustion after cancelling his Saint Pablo Tour.
People reports that police were called for a disturbance around 1:20pm, however the Los Angeles Fire Department took over when it became clear it was a medical emergency.
The rapper has reportedly been taken to UCLA Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation, reports TMZ.
“According to law enforcement sources … cops responded to a call for a welfare check on Kanye around 1:20 PM PT. He wasn’t at his home at the time. We’re told paramedics also responded and ended up transporting Kanye to the hospital by ambulance.”
Sources close to Kanye told the site that he was getting checked out by his doctors for severe sleep deprivation when someone decided he needed to be admitted. This follows on from a series of concerning rants aboutBeyonce and Jay Z by the rapper, and his decision to cancel the remaining concerts in his Life Of Pablo world tour.
Wife Kim Kardashian was scheduled to attend the Angel Ball in New York City, marking her first public appearance she was robbed in Paris in October, but did not attend.
