I’ll be honest, any press tour involving Jonathan Bailey has my undivided attention. That being said, I stand by my claim that Jurassic World: Rebirth is giving fans a string of press appearances that are delightfully unexpected.
Given it’s a film about dinosaurs, it may not feel fashion adjacent, but the looks of the original movie was a treasure trove of 90s style from Jeff Goldblum’s tight pants and leather jacket to Laura Dern’s oversized peach shirt.
The latest film has already set a new trend in Jonathan Bailey’s character and his ‘slutty little glasses’ as the internet is calling them.
“Blakely Thornton came up with that,” Bailey told ET when asked about his wire frames, “so, copyright where copyright is due.”
“I’m thrilled that people are having a hormonal explosion linked to optical supports. Glasses can go a long way.”
With two back-to-back appearances kicking off the tour in London, the Jurassic World cast have set the style bar impossibly high.
We’ve seen Bailey don his little glasses and a contentious pair of flip flops that worn on any other man would be simply offensive. Then, there was Scarlett Johansson in a Schiaparelli skirt and top set followed by a glittering baby pink gown at the premiere.
Co-stars Rupert Friend and Mahershala Ali also looked dapper, the former in a sleek suit with pink shirt to match Johansson and the latter opting for a very appropriate Jurassic green suit with matching coat.
The press tour has provided fans with delightfully chaotic fodder just two days in, with Bailey’s flip flops sparking debate online about what’s red-carpet appropriate attire to him and ScarJo sharing a friendly kiss at the premiere. So I can’t wait to see what else is to come…
Jurassic World: Rebirth Premiere

Scarlet Johansson & Jonathan Bailey Kiss
ScarJo is out here living everyone’s dream. It’s as simple as that.

Scarlett Johansson
Reminding us all why she’s a bonafide movie star, ScarJo styled a shimmering corsetted Vivenne Westwood gown with bombshell waves and soft neutral makeup.

Jonathan Bailey
Bailey seemingly paid homage to Sam Neil’s original character with his denim shirt and cream pant combo. Who wore it better? We refuse to answer.

Mahershala Ali
Ali understood the brief in this in this floral green three-piece suit and matching overcoat.

Rupert Friend
The actor kept his look classic for the premiere with a black suit, albeit with a touch of fun in the addition of a peachy shirt and tie.

Luna Blaise
Blaise, who plays Teresa Delgado in the film, turned heads in a shimmering broze gown with cut-out details.

Ed Skrein
British actor Ed Skrein kept his relaxed suit perfectly tonal for a Jurassic film.

From Johansson’s Schiaparelli two-piece to Bailey’s toes being on display, the cast’s first photo call gave fans a lot to talk about.
