It seems Nicole Kidman could be smitten with a new man!
While nothing has been confirmed, rumours that the actress is dating Paul Salem, Chairman of the Board at MGM Resorts International, have us quietly rooting for the pair.
Earlier this year, New Idea claimed Salem, 62, was interested in Kidman, noting that the pair moved in similar social circles, though sources at the time suggested the actress was not looking to pursue a new relationship.
At the time, Kidman was briefly linked to fellow Australian actor and longtime friend Simon Baker after the pair were photographed holding hands at the premiere of Scarpetta.
Now, DeuxMoi reports that a new romance has been developing behind the scenes.
“We’re told the relationship has been quietly developing for the past few months and the pair have been keeping things extremely low-key and largely out of the public eye,” the outlet claimed.
According to Woman’s Day, Kidman’s close friend Reese Witherspoon has played an important role in helping her embrace this new chapter.
“Reese has been a big factor in helping Nicole regain her confidence and embrace this new chapter,” a source told the publication. “It’s no secret she had the wind knocked out of her sails at the time of her divorce, but the friendship and support she’s had from her circle of friends has been immense.”
Urban, meanwhile, is reportedly finding the reality of Kidman moving on more difficult than expected.
“Obviously, he’s had plenty of time to process the fact that he and Nicole are fully done and there’s no turning back the clock for their own romantic story,” an insider claimed. “But the actuality of seeing her move on with someone else, or knowing it’s going on, still cuts pretty deep.”

While nothing has been confirmed regarding his reported connection to Nicole Kidman, Paul Salem is a prominent businessman with deep ties to the worlds of finance, entertainment and sport.
Salem currently serves as Chairman of the Board at MGM Resorts International, a position he took on in 2020 after joining the company’s board two years earlier. Prior to that, he spent nearly three decades at Providence Equity Partners, where he helped oversee investments across a portfolio reportedly valued at around $50 billion.
According to reports, Salem is highly regarded within Hollywood’s inner circles. One source described him to Woman’s Day as “an enormously successful, charismatic and charming character” who is known as “one of the good guys with a heart of gold.”
Salem finalised his divorce from former wife Navyn Salem in 2021, with the pair sharing four daughters together.
Sources have also claimed that Kidman’s close friend Reese Witherspoon is supportive of the match, with Salem said to have a good rapport with Witherspoon’s partner, financier Oliver Haarmann.
