According to the Sunday Times’ annual Rich List, Adele made a staggering £40 million (around $AU70 million) in 2016, thanks to a wildly successful global tour and bestselling album, 25.
Surprisingly, her lucrative earnings only put her in the 19th position on the list, which Sir Paul McCartney tops with £780 million. Lord Llyod-Webber comes second with £740-mill and U2 third with £580-mil.
You know what that means: Adele is the only woman to appear in the top 20. Depressing.
