An Australian couple who lost their three children and grandfather in the downing of the flight MH17 have announced the birth of a daughter.
Violet May Maslin was born yesterday to Anthony Maslin and Marite Norris according to The Guardian.
The couple released a statement that described Violet’s birth as bringing “light to our darkness”.
“We will continue to love all four of our children equally. Violet brings some hope and joy for us. We hope she brings hope and joy for you too.”
Mo, 12, Evie, 10, and Otis, 8, died alongside their grandfather, Nick Norris, 68, when the Malaysia Airlines flight was shot out of the skies over Ukraine in 2014.
