The Full List Of 2019 Oscar Nominations

What we've been waiting for

Nominations for the 2019 Oscars have finally been announced by Kumail Nanjiani and Tracee Ellis Ross live from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theatre.

Leading the pack are Alfonso Cuaron’s Roma and Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Favourite, having scored 10 nominations each heading to the 91st Academy Awards.

A Star Is Born, Green Book and BlacKkKlansman were among the Best Picture nominees. In addition, Aussies were represented by Australian production designer Fiona Crombie and screenwriter Tony McNamara, who both earned nominations for The Favourite.

One of the biggest omissions was Bradley Cooper failing to crack the directing category for A Star Is Born, the box-office juggernaut that grossed more than US$400 million worldwide. But, the film did receive a coveted nomination for Best Original Score for ‘Shallow’ – which Cooper and Lady Gaga revealed they would “one hundred per cent” perform live if it snapped a nom.

We talked about that actually, because I’m such a maniac,” Cooper told Variety. “I started texting her the whole pitch of how we should do it. So we’ll see. There might be a cool, unorthodox way we could perform it.”
