“It is beyond my wildest dreams to have this opportunity for a daily talk show,” Drew said in a statement. “I’m truly thrilled and honored to be creating this show with CBS.”
CBS are equally excited; Steve LoCascio, Chief Operating and Financial Officer of CBS Global Distribution Group said, “Drew is a huge star and a breath of fresh air – her show will energize any station’s lineup. We’re looking forward to working with Peter Dunn [president of CBS Television Stations] and the CBS Television Stations group to launch this premium show in fall 2020.”
This isn’t the first time Drew has tried to get her own talk show off the ground. She circled a talk show deal with Warner Bros.’ Telepictures in 2016, but the pilot received a lukewarm response and never made it off the ground.
Drew has been keeping plenty busy since then - she has her own beauty brand Flower Beauty and homewares range Flower Home, and she’s super active on social media, taking an open and unedited approach to sharing her life with her followers.
She’s everywhere right now.
Drew has also had a couple of other TV appearances of late, including her role as a judge on the reality talent competition The World’s Best alongside RuPaul and Faith Hill, and her starring role in Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet, which has just been cancelled following its third season.
