Set against the serene backdrop of Oxford House Pool Bar, Apple TV’s Palm Royale Sundowner Soirée, in partnership with marie claire, was a tranquil yet decadent escape.
In celebration of the much-anticipated return of Palm Royale Season 2, guests were transported to a sun-drenched world of poolside glamour, kaftans and martini-fuelled gossip, gleaming with effortless 1960s glamour.
Guests embraced the retro theme in their best ’60s finery, featuring bold colours, geometric prints, fluid silhouettes and bohemian flair, while martinis cascaded through a glittering ice sculpture at the bar.
Between free-flowing drinks, abundant canapés and dazzling performances by synchronised swimmers and an energetic roaming band, the evening perfectly captured the series’ spirit — opulent, witty, and ever so slightly subversive.

Beneath the glossy veneer of the series – which includes many cocktail luncheons and cabana-clad socialites- lies something sharper. The show cleverly uses its idyllic Palm Springs setting as a Trojan horse for deeper themes, exploring ambition, class, and the social fault lines of racism, homophobia and misogyny.
Now on its second season, Palm Royale picks up after the shocking shooting at the club’s annual fundraising ball, as the well-heeled women of Palm Beach scramble to secure their place in an ever-shifting pecking order.
The returning ensemble cast includes Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Leslie Bibb, Ricky Martin, Kaia Gerber and Carol Burnett, with new appearances from John Stamos and Patti LuPone.

For marie claire’s November cover star Leslie Bibb, who plays “Dinah Donahue”, the joy of the show lies in its powerhouse cast. “You pinch yourself working alongside women like that,” she tells marie claire. “They make you better, sharper.”
As the sun dipped over Oxford Street, guests toasted Palm Royale’s return while the evening unfolded in a haze of nostalgia, decadence and cinematic allure.
Palm Royale Season 2 premieres Wednesday, November 12 on Apple TV.
