Queensland’s Home of the Arts (HOTA) on the Gold Coast returns as host of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards for the third consecutive year, once again drawing a constellation of homegrown and international talent to celebrate the best of Australian film and television.

Hosted by Celeste Barber, AACTA Festival 2026 arrives with serious star power.

This year’s presenters and guests include Sarah Snook, Dacre Montgomery, Baz Luhrmann, Sam Neill, Asher Keddie, Danielle Cormack, Delta Goodrem, Phoebe Tonkin and Yerin Ha, among many others.

This year’s nominees reflect the performances and projects that shaped Australian film and television over the past year, with Nicole Kidman, Jacob Elordi, Sam Neill, Teresa Palmer, Alison Brie and Anna Torv among those recognised in the 2026 AACTA Awards presented by Foxtel Group.

Leading the field is Apple Cider Vinegar, which tops this year’s nominations with 20 nods across acting, writing, directing, casting, soundtrack, score, sound, costume and editing, including dual Best Lead Actress nominations for Alycia Debnam-Carey and Kaitlyn Dever.

On the film front, Bring Her Back continues the momentum for Danny and Michael Philippou, emerging as one of the year’s dominant contenders with 16 nominations.

The film features across major categories, including Best Film, Best Lead Actress for Sally Hawkins, and three supporting acting nominations (Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton and Sora Wong), alongside recognition for direction, editing, cinematography, sound and casting.

With awards spanning Best Film and Best Actress through to Best Costume Design and Best Cinematography across film, television, documentary and original score categories, the night calls for a red carpet to match.

Last year, Phoebe Tonkin arrived in ethereal lace Chanel, while Sophie Wilde wore archival Loewe with sculptural hip pannier, a pairing that cemented the AACTAs as a red carpet moment with global fashion relevance.

Ahead, we’re rounding up our favourite looks from the 2026 AACTA Awards red carpet.
