Brisbanites are getting a front row seat to all things Celine, with the Parisian maison opening a pop-up store in Brisbane, launching on the 17th of May.
Available to attend until the 30th of July, the pop-up is located in QueensPlaza, within the city’s luxury hub. It’s an exciting opportunity for those in Brisbane to get a feel for the bag they’ve been lusting over, in close proximity.
Anyone who has taken the plunge to buy a cult bag from Celine will know there is nothing better than the experience of going in store to try on the extensive range and really get to know which styles suit your personal fashion sense.
The activation is designed to introduce the fashion house’s most covetable styles to the chicest of Brisbane locals. We know you’re asking, and yes, Celine’s iconic Triomphe signature handbags, mini bags and small leather goods, which are much coveted online and amongst the fashion set, will be present at the pop-up store.
Celine’s presence in Brisbane is a long-awaited joy. The house is present in select locations across the east coast of Australia, setting up foundations in Melbourne, and Sydney. The brand is also available in David Jones at the Gold Coast, but this pop up will be a much shorter trip for those living in the River City.
Naturally, locals will be excited to check out the Triomphe bag, and the history this silhouette represents for the maison. It has the most iconic origin story: when founder and then-creative director, Céline Vipiana’s car broke down in front of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, she had to wait for roadside assistance. During her wait, she noticed the interesting design of the chain ring around the monument, designed as two C’s perfectly linked. From that little bit of Parisian history, the Triomphe’s cult hardware was born.
Alongside the Triomphe, fans can take a peek at the popular Urban Traveller and Gen Z favourite, the Ava Bag. It’s safe to say that Ava is a Celine girlie’s perfect first purse from the brand.
