Officially mid-year, the month has a particular energy to it — the cold finally sets in, the resort runways wrap up, and suddenly everyone you know is either booking a flight to Europe or deep in a new season wardrobe spiral.

For those not fleeing our shores for warmer weather, there’s plenty of fashion, beauty and lifestyle news to keep you booked, busy or bagging up a new must-have buy.

Consider this your guide to everything you might have missed.

Dior Launches Backstage Glassy Glow Sticks

Dior Backstage is expanding its pro-inspired lineup with three new launches designed to bring the runway glow to everyone. The hero product is the Glassy Glow Stick, a balmy highlighter that delivers a buildable, iridescent dewy finish in a single swipe.

Joining it is the Airflash Mist, a hybrid setting spray that locks in makeup while hydrating skin for 24 hours. Rounding out the drop, the beloved Rosy Glow family — including the Rosy Glow Stick and Lip Glow Butter — gets a limited-edition refresh in “Juicy Pinks,” a collection of pearly pink shades made for a monochromatic cheek-to-lip moment.

Rhode’s Summer Collection & Highlighting Milk

Hailey Bieber’s Rhode made its biggest move yet this month with the launch of its Summer 2026 collection, introducing the brand’s first-ever highlighter: the Highlight Milk. A hybrid luminiser built on the DNA of Rhode’s signature Glazing Milk, it delivers deep hydration alongside a shimmery finish, and can be worn on bare skin, mixed into foundation, or applied all over the body.

It comes in four shades — pearly pink, pearly champagne, pearly warm bronze and pearly rich bronze — making it a glow for every skin tone. The Highlight Milk launched alongside Rhode’s first-ever bronzer, the Pocket Bronze, and a new dual-ended blending brush. Basically, it’s the perfect collection for pretending you’ve escaped the winter chill and spent a few weeks sailing around the Mediterranean.

Dior Haute Wellness Collection

Dior Maison is expanding beyond the home with the Haute Wellness collection, a new line designed by Cordelia de Castellane dedicated to sports and wellbeing. Built around three pillars — gentle movement, mindfulness and sleep — the range includes elastic bands, a yoga brick, rings, weights, a yoga mat, a Pilates mat and water bottles, all embellished with the House’s signature cannage motif in gold thread across blue and ivory colourways.

Sleep essentials including a silk pillowcase and eye mask round out the offering, alongside the 5 Minutes Journal, a guided mindfulness diary filled with prompts and quotes. The collection is available now in Dior boutiques, online and at Dior Spas.

ALO’s First Australian Store

Luxury Los Angeles wellness brand ALO has officially landed in Australia, opening the doors of its first Sydney sanctuary at Chatswood Chase on May 22. Known for its premium studio-to-street aesthetic rooted in mind-body wellness, ALO marks its Australian debut with a 315-square-metre space featuring a limestone façade, white-washed wood ceilings and organic textures inspired by the brand’s Air, Land, Ocean philosophy.

Far from a traditional retail store, the Chatswood Chase sanctuary is designed as an immersive wellness destination, with grand opening weekend (May 22–24) set to include acro yoga, a live DJ set and ear seeding activations.

Calvin Klein X Jung Kook

Calvin Klein has dropped its most personal collaboration yet, partnering with global brand ambassador and BTS star Jung Kook on a limited-edition 20-piece capsule — his first ever fashion collaboration. Rooted in the brand’s denim and underwear icons, the men’s and women’s collection channels Jung Kook’s biker obsession through 90s trucker jackets, low-rise baggy and straight-leg denim, racer jackets and graphic tees, all finished with distressed detailing, racing stripes, hidden embroidery and custom washes that give each piece a distinctly personal edge.

LOEWE’s New Chatswood Store

Spanish luxury house LOEWE has opened its latest Australian boutique at the newly redeveloped Chatswood Chase on Sydney’s North Shore, welcoming shoppers from April 30. Spanning 185 square metres, the space follows the brand’s signature CASA LOEWE design concept — a richly layered interior where handcrafted ceramic tiles in off-white, dark blue and reflective silver move across walls, podiums and bespoke furnishings, grounded by smooth concrete flooring and marble elements in Cristallo Iceberg and Blue Bahia.

Pizza’Mare Brings A Slice Of Italy To Sydney Harbour

Few things capture the joy of Italian dining quite like a pizza shared overlooking the water. Now, Sydney diners can do exactly that with the opening of Pizza’Mare, the new restaurant from Alessandro and Anna Pavoni, perched above Barangaroo’s sparkling harbourfront at a’Mare. Designed as a more relaxed, spontaneous sibling to the acclaimed a’Mare Dining Room below, Pizza’Mare invites guests to drop in for a pizza, pasta or glass of wine, no special occasion required.

At the heart of the menu is traditional Italian craftsmanship. Head Pizzaiolo Paolo Lacarpia brings decades of experience to a selection of contemporary Neapolitan-style pizzas, made with slow-fermented dough and premium ingredients. Standout dishes include the a’Marinara with yellowfin tuna crudo and stracciatella, alongside inventive takes on classics featuring mortadella, king prawns and wagyu carpaccio. Happen to be gluten-free? You’ll be pleased to know the options are extensive and, as a coeliac, I felt confident dining my way through the menu.

The interiors are equally delightful: bright butter-yellow walls, layered textures and uninterrupted harbour views create the kind of joyful, transportive atmosphere that makes you want to linger over one more spritz.
