Elyse Taylor Reveals How She Stays In Such Incredible Shape

And the beauty products she can't live without

If you’ve been paying attention to your Instagram feed over the past 24 hours, you might’ve noticed a bunch of Australia’s A-list flying in from all corners of the globe.

Former Victoria’s Secret model Elyse Taylor, who now resides in New York, is among those who are currently Down Under for the MAAS Ball in partnership with Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter.

We had a quick catch up with the 31-year-old to chat about what she loves to do at home, her favourite beauty products, and how she stays in such incredible shape.

What do you love to do when you’re back home from the US?

When I come home I really love to catch up friends, but it’s usually almost impossible due to my schedule. I’m only back for two days this trip-  one day in Sydney and one day in Adelaide – then back to LA for another job. I’ll try to swim in the ocean and then eat as many Australian things as I can before I leave.

What does your normal week look like exercise wise?

I like to work out at least 5 times a week, especially if I’m travelling. It keeps me sane! I’ll usually do 1hr of cardio and 30mins of mat work.

What does your everyday beauty routine look like?

I’ll cleanse with Cosmedix Purity Solution Deep Cleansing Oil, then apply a vitamin C serum – I’m using Skin Ceuticals at the moment. I then use Caudalie Premier Cru Eye CreamDr. Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum and Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Cream Rich Women moisturiser.

Afterwards, I’ll apply a little Nude by Nature Sheer Glow BB Cream and Soft Focus Illuminator in rose and I’m ready for my day.

What’s the one beauty product you couldn’t live without?

I CANNOT live without my Nude By Nature Flawless Concealer

What does a typical day on your plate look like?

Breakfast: I can’t function without breakfast! I always have oatmeal and coffee.

Lunch: I’ll have a salad with protein or sushi

Dinner: I have something similar for dinner but usually a little lighter or smaller portion depending on where I am and if I’m travelling.

Ahead of a big event – such as the Centre for Fashion Ball – do you get any special beauty treatments done?

I love to get a camera ready facial at Melanie Grant.

What are your favourite Australian fashion designers?

My favourite is Alex Perry. I love the confidence I feel while wearing his dresses, they really complement my body shape make me feel like a woman. I also love Michael Lo Sordo and love constantly discovering new Aussie swimsuit brands!

Tonight’s MAAS Ball, in partnership with Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter, is sponsored by IWC, Bentley, Etihad, Moet & Chandon, Bird In Hand and Grey Goose. Attendees include marie claire cover star Jesinta Franklin, Elyse Taylor, Phoebe Tonkin, Leonie Hanne, and Sylvia Jeffreys.
