When the podcast debuted in 2018 with Alex Cooper and her then-co-host Sofia Franklyn, it positioned itself as an unabashed, sex-positive diary of twenty-something life — the kind of unfiltered girl talk rarely heard at scale.
Fast forward to 2026 and the show has become synonymous with exclusive and candid celebrity interviews, granting listeners unfiltered and unique insight into Hollywood’s biggest names. Cooper’s ability to broach the most brazen topics and tabloid gossip with the very stars the headlines are about has garnered her a dedicated audience and millions of weekly listens.
The viral popularity of Call Her Daddy also saw Cooper secure an eye-water $125million podcasting deal last year and has seen the brand expand into an empire with The Unwell Network.

Ahead of each new episode of the podcast, Cooper drops a clue on her Instagram hinting at who the guest of the week will be. It’s a tradition the audience eats up but also serves to build hype that has audiences counting down to the release.
Speculation of the next episode of Call Her Daddy has been simmering for weeks now, with many followers online suspecting the guest is author Sarah J Maas, known best for her Throne Of Glass and A Court Of Thorns And Roses series. This morning (Australian time) their suspicions were affirmed with Cooper dropping a preview of the hard-hitting questions and theories she’ll be grilling Mass over.
Fans of the novels have been awaiting news of ACOTAR book 6 from Maas for years, with many believing confirmation about the release will be dropped on the podcast. So, when can we finally tune in?
New episodes of Call Her Daddy are released every Wednesday. For her next installment, which will feature Sarah J Maas, Cooper confirmed the episode will be released on March 4th at 8pm EST time. For Australians, this translates to March 5, 12pm AEST time.
“Set your alarms. 3/4 5/8pm est,” Cooper wrote on her teaser post. And set our alarms we shall.
