The lights are on, the grill is fired up and service is about to start on Season 4 of The Bear with every episode set to drop in Australia the same time as the US.
Unlike some other prestige television shows that keep us waiting between seasons (here’s looking at you Bridgerton), The Bear has always been prompt, and this year’s is no exception.
Sticking to its yearly streaming reservation like clockwork, the latest tale will pick up where the season three’s cliffhanger left off, because as we know “every second counts.”
But before you dive into the main course, we’ve prepared an amuse-bouche of what’s transpired so far, along with everything you need to know about where and when our favourite kitchen of chaos opens.

Meet The Season 4 Cast

Jeremy Allen White returns to lead The Bear as Carmy, the moody-yet-masterful culinary genius striving for Michelin-star success in his hometown of Chicago.
By his side, is standout sous chef, Sydney, (played by Ayo Edebiri) whose character will likely be forced to answer some open-ended questions from last season. Namely in regards to her future as Carmy’s second when there’s still a prestigious job offer hanging over her head.
Of course, the newly reformed Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) will be on shift to keep the staff – and the shows loveable Fak brothers – in line and on time.
While we don’t know how much we’ll get to see Carmy’s sister, new mum and restaurant manager, Nat “Sugar” Berzatto, we know the usual suspects – Marcus (Lionel Boyce), Tina (Liza Colon-Zayas) and Sugar’s sweet husband, Pete, will be returning.
Here’s hoping Carmy finally figures out how to communicate with Claire so he can loosen up a little and we can see more of Molly Gordon on our screens.
What Is This Season Of The Bear About?

“I don’t want this place to be chaos,” Carmy tells Syd in the trailer for season 4. “You know that, right?” But if last season showed us anything, it’s that Carmy’s good intentions are rarely enough to keep the chaos at bay for long – especially when there’s a restaurant review hanging over everyone’s head.
Then there’s the question of who manages the books when Carmy’s sister Sugar is occupied with a newborn and an emotionally unregulated mother? While the unexpected mother-daughter journey was a highlight of last season, we’re yet to see where their tumultuous relationship stands as of now.
However, one of the biggest unresolved plot points going into this season is the question of where Syd will end up. Will she accept Shapiro’s job offer and take on the title of Head Chef at her own restaurant? Or, will the promise of a promotion and more responsibility be enough to keep Syd where she is?
Whatever happens, we know what we’ll be watching this week.
