An Investigation Into Who ‘MAFS’ Bryce’s Secret Girlfriend Is

A deep dive

Married At First Sight’s most controversial contestant for its 2021 season, Bryce Ruthven, may have had viewers (and John Aiken) calling out his toxic behaviour throughout the series, but his most recent scandal is arguably the worst yet.

At Wednesday night’s dinner party, several of the other brides and grooms decided to confront Bryce regarding a rumour they’d heard, suggesting he had a secret girlfriend outside of the experiment.

Of course, Bryce was quick to deny such allegations—but, turns out there’s a fair bit of evidence to back it up.

Below, an investigation into who Bryce’s secret girlfriend is.

When Did The Rumours First Start?

If you’re a fan of the show, you’ll know that these rumours are by no means new, first surfacing in February when a source who alleged to be close to the production team said Bryce was seeing a girl from Canberra for around “three to four months” after he called off his engagement to Lana.

At the time celebrity gossip podcast, So Dramatic!, identified his girlfriend as a woman named Courtney.

“He had a secret girlfriend the entire time during filming Married At First Sight, back in Canberra,” host Megan Pusetto revealed. “He lied to her and convinced her that he was just doing the show to further his career and he asked her to wait for him. She agreed. So then he kept her on the sly the entire time.”

“He told them he had been seeing a girl before production started,” a source later told Woman’s Day“He was texting her… And at one point he even FaceTimed her.”

According To Sources, Bryce Didn’t Attempt To Hide The Romance.

Even more shockingly, sources claimed that Bryce wasn’t even trying to hide his secret romance from his inner circle, many of who were in attendance at his wedding to Melissa.

“All of Bryce’s friends knew about Courtney, even the ones who were at his TV wedding. Their relationship was not a secret,” said Pustetto.

Things Get Laid Out On The Table At This Year’s MAFS Reunion.

Jason Roses, a guest who attended Bryce and Melissa’s wedding, even claimed producers were aware of Courtney while filming.

Appearing on TV Blackbox’s The Anj, Rob & Robbo Show, Roses confirmed that the footage was actually shown to the entire cast at the reunion.

“It was at the reunion, and they’ve basically said, ‘Bryce, if you think you’re telling the truth, this is what your friend had to say in secret.’”

After The Dinner Party, Bryce Tried To Defend His Actions.

Taking to Instagram following the dinner party, Bryce responded by posting three separate Instagram posts in an attempt to clear his name.

The first post read:  “I’ve been honest from day one of the MAFS experiment, why would I start being dishonest now?”

The second post read: “Very refreshing having @johnnybalbuziente come into the experiment, the poor bloke has no idea what he’s walking into tonight at the dinner party!”

The third post read: “We can’t please everyone but we know better than anyone what our relationship is really like. Hopefully, you see that I absolutely adore this woman. You won’t find a better human being than @lissrawson.”

Pretty tellingly, Bryce decided to disable comments on all three posts.
