This Met Gala Seating Chart Has Gone Viral Because It's Total Chaos

This Met Gala Seating Chart Has Gone Viral Because It's Total Chaos

After the cancellation of a million international fashion events in 2020, we could not be more excited for the upcoming 2021 Met Gala. And it seems most of the internet is sharing in that excitement, because recently a "leaked" seating chart for the event went completely viral. And with good reason - it is utter chaos.

While the chart has been debunked as fake, it's still a juicy fantasy we can all indulge in. Revolving around small tables filled with a mish-mash of celebrities, we've really enjoyed trawling the image and imagining what conversations would be going down.

Let's unpack this. Vera Wang next to TikTok star Addison Rae? Harry Styles schmoozing with Celine Dion? Orlando Bloom at the head of a table opposite THE Anna Wintour? Utter chaos.

The internet has been having a great time dissecting it, though.

To be fair, TikTok stars are everywhere right now, and the Met Gala has never shied away from inviting controversial celebrities to the prestigious event. YouTubers James Charles and Lilly Singh have been attendees in the past, and lets not forget the first time Kim Kardashian graced the red carpet.

While the official Met Gala invite list is yet to be released, we anticipate plenty of controversial, modern celebrities in the mix. And we welcome it!

Ahead of the big day, the expecting Kylie Jenner, who was recently in New York for NYFW has announced that she is "so sad [she] couldn't make it this year". Instead, taking to Instagram to unveil the launch of Kylie Swim to her legions of fans.

Surprisingly, pop singer and actress Selena Gomez has also shared that she will not be attending this year. This comes after recently admitting that her 2018 Met Gala look was a bit of a beauty fail on her behalf. The star revealed that she applied a coat of self-tanner ahead of the red carpet, which in her words looked "really beautiful and even", before realising she was turning orange as the night went on. Could this be the reason for her missing the prestigious event?

Whilst we don't know who else may or may not be coming, we can't wait to see who will turn up and slay the step and repeat.
