While Sex And The City centred around the lives of four lovable, 30-something besties, 17 years later, the reboot of the beloved HBO show, And Just Like That…, introduced a new host of characters to our core gal pals.

In addition to Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte (and, for one brief appearance, Samantha), we now have Che, Seema, Lisa and Nya in the central squad.

With them, they bring partners, kids, parents and exciting new plotlines to pour over.

If you’ve been wracking your brain, wondering where you’ve seen the actors who bring these new cast additions to life, look no further.

We’re breaking down all the show’s new characters—and where you might have seen their faces before.

[SPOILERS AHEAD for season one of AJLT]

Nicole Ari Parker as Lisa Todd Wexley (Credit: HBO MAX / Binge)

Nicole Ari Parker

Character: Lisa Todd Wexley, aka LTW

Who is Lisa Todd Wexley?

LTW is a successful, capable and stylish friend of Charlotte’s, who can seamlessly juggle parenting and a high-powered career. She’s married to hedge fund manager (Herbert Wexley, played by Chris Jackson), and they have three kids who attend the same school as Charlotte and Harry’s children, Lily and Rock.

Where you’ve seen Nicole Ari Parker before:

You may remember Nicole Ari Parker from her breakout role in Boogie Nights, in which she played porn star Becky Barnett. She has since starred as Carol Boone (Denzel Washington’s character’s wife) in Remember The Titans in Brown Sugar, and Giselle Barker in Empire.

Sara Ramirez as Che Diaz (Credit: HBO MAX / Binge)

Sara Ramirez

Character: Che Diaz

Who is Che Diaz?

Che entered the series as Carrie’s boss and podcast co-host, but endures mainly as the love interest of Miranda Hobbes. Che is a non-binary stand-up comedian who heads to LA in season two of And Just Like That… to film their own TV series.

Where you’ve seen Sara Ramirez before:

You’ve most likely seen Ramirez within the walls of Seattle Grace, where they worked as Dr Callie Torres in Grey’s Anatomy. Ramirez appeared in 10 seasons of the popular soap. After their departure from Grey’s, then went on to star as a series regular in two seasons of Madam Secretary. Eagle-eyed rom-com fans might also remember Ramirez’ brief appearance as Rose, the Zabar’s grocery clerk, in the 1998 Nora Ephron hit, You’ve Got Mail.

If you want to read more about Ramirez’ fascinating life and acting career, we did a deep dive into the actor here.

Sarita Choudhury as Seema Patel (Credit: HBO MAX / Binge)

Sarita Choudhury

Character: Seema Patel

Who is Seema Patel:

Seema started the series as Carrie’s high-end realtor, but her sass and sophistication (and penchant for a ciggie) earned her a spot in the core friendship group.

Where you’ve seen Sarita Choudhury before:

Sarita Choudhury is something of a muse for acclaimed director Mira Nair, who has cast her in films Mississippi Massala and Karma Sutra: A Tale Of Love. The London-born actress also previously starred opposite Tom Hanks in A Hologram For The King, and Michael Douglas and Gwyneth Paltrow in A Perfect Murder

More recently, Choudhury appeared in The Hunger Games — Mockingjay Part 1 2, as the Capitol’s Minister of Interior, Egeria.

Karen Pittman as Nya Wallace (Credit: HBO MAX / Binge)

Karen Pittman

Character: Nya Wallace

Who is Nya Wallace?

Dr Nya Wallace begins the series as Miranda’s professor at Columbia, and the two quickly strike up a friendship. Nya is in a relationship with Andre Rashad Wallace, but the pair appear to have more than one obstacle to overcome.

Where you’ve seen Karen Pittman before:

On top of playing Nya Wallace, Karen Pittman has had a few major roles of late. She commenced a regular role as Willa Hays in season 3 of Yellowstone, and also has a regular role as Mia Jordan in Morning Wars, opposite Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon

Bobby Lee as Jackie Nee (Credit: HBO MAX / Binge)

Bobby Lee

Character: Jackie Nee

Who is Jackie Nee?

Jackie is Carrie’s podcast co-host turned friend and unlikely sage.

Where you’ve seen Bobby Lee before:

Before we get into where you’ve seen Bobby Lee before, we think it vital to share that the actor and stand-up comedian is 51 years old. He is an accomplished stand-up, and you may have seen him in the popular noughties sketch comedy MADtv, alongside Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. He also starred in Splitting Up Together opposite The Office‘s Jenna Fischer (Pam) and currently has recurring roles on Magnum P.I. and Dream Corp LLC. On the big screen, you may have caught him in the Harold & Kumar films or Pineapple Express. In a case of life imitating art (or is it vice versa?), Lee has his own podcast, Tigerbelly.

Chris Jackson as Herbert Wexley (Credit: Instagram / @justlikethatmax via @craigblankenhorn)

Chris Jackson

Character: Herbert Wexley

Who is Herbert Wexley?

Herbert is Lisa Todd Wexley’s (Nicole Ari Parker) hedge fund manager husband.

Where you’ve seen Chris Jackson before:

Hamilton fans will immediately recognise Chris Jackson as George Washington from the original Broadway line-up. (While most of us might not have caught Jackson perform the role in person, you can catch it in the Disney+ film of the stage musical). A frequent collaborator of Lin Manuel Miranda, Jackson also originated the stage role of Benny in In The Heights, and lent his singing voice to the character of Chief Tui in Moana

On-screen, you might have seen Jackson as Chunk in the TV series Bull.

William Abadie play Zed (he’s pictured her at Cannes) (Credit: Getty)

William Abadie

Character: Zed

Who is Zed?

Zed is Seema’s latest love interest, a late addition to season one of And Just Like That….

Where you’ve seen William Abadie before:

Interestingly, William Abadie is not stranger to the Sex And The City universe. He appeared in the original series as Carrie’s hot friend from Prada, who she invites to Smith’s full-frontal play as a rebound date for Charlotte. (For those wanting a shortcut to the episode: it’s season 6, episode 5: ‘Lights, Camera, Relationship’. You know, the one where Berger throws a tantrum and tries to kill Carrie on his motorcycle? Yeah, we don’t forgive or forget when it comes to bad Sex And The City boyfriends.)

More recently, you might have recognised Abadie as Antoine Lambert in Emily In Paris—the owner of Maison Lavaux, Sylvie’s former lover and the investor behind Gabriel’s restaurant.

Ivan Hernandez as Franklyn (Credit: HBO MAX / Binge)

Ivan Hernandez

Character: Franklyn

Who is Franklyn?

Franklyn is Carrie’s podcast producer with whom she strikes up a romantic relationship at the end of season one.

Where you’ve seen Ivan Hernandez before:

Until recently, the hunky Hernandez has had mainly bit parts in a range of TV shows, including Gossip Girl, Scandal and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. While you may know him from nine episodes of Devious Maids, chances are you caught him recently in the fourth and final season of Never Have I Ever. The Mindy Kaling-created Netflix hit starred Hernandez in the final season as Andres Ramos, Nalini Vishwakumar’s (Poorna Jagannathan) handyman-turned-love interest.

LeRoy McClain as Andre Rashad Wallace (Credit: Instagram / @justlikethatmax via @craigblankenhorn)

LeRoy McClain

Character: Andre Rashad Wallace

Who is Andre Rashad?

Andre Rashad is a musician and Nya’s husband.

Where you’ve seen LeRoy McClain before:

The British-American actor was recently in The Marvelous Mrs Maisel as fictional musician Shy Baldwin. He also played Cecil Franklin, Aretha Franklin’s brother, in the biopic Respect.

Oliver Hudson on ‘The Late Late Show’ (Credit: Getty)

Oliver Hudson

Character: Lyle

Who is Lyle?

We’ve only met Lyle briefly, but we swiftly discovered he is the ex husband of one Che Diaz. The shock twist occurred in episode two, season two — but we know that’s not the last we’ll see of Lyle.

Where you’ve seen Oliver Hudson before:

Oliver Hudson is actually a first generation nepo baby of very, very famous parents. He’s the brother of Kate Hudson, and child of Goldie Hawn. Like his kin, Oliver is an actor (obviously) and TV star in his own right, and has appeared in several series, including Nashville, Rules Of Engagement, Scream Queens and Splitting Up Together.
