Lady Gaga, 40, is officially a mother in the most literal of terms. The ‘Born This Way’ singer has reportedly welcomed her first child with partner Michael Polansky.
While the couple have not publicly announced the newest addition to their family, outlets report they were photographed with a newborn while out together in Northern California. Photos obtained by Page Six show the singer cradling the bub close to her chest while out and about.
Per People, the new parents have taken a break for the arrival, with a source revealing, “Both took time off of work this summer to be with [the] baby”.
They added that the couple was absolutely smitten, saying, “both beam when they talk about being parents.”
Gaga has spoken candidly about her hopes of becoming a mother throughout her career.
Most notably, in a 2025 interview with ELLE, the singer touched on the importance of family and the desire to build her own.
“Family—it’s like the roots of the tree,” she said. “Family is what makes you who you are, and it also defines your need for change.”
On raising children, the ‘Judas’ singer told Allure: “I really hope that when I have maybe a little girl one day, or a little boy, and they see Mommy put her makeup on, that they have the same experience that I did [with my mom].”
She added, “That’s the greatest gift of all, when you can connect with your parents.”
Gaga and Polansky have been together since 2019, with the couple going Instagram official in 2020.
The photo of Gaga sitting across Polansky’s lap was accompanied by the caption: “We had so much fun in Miami. Love to all my little monsters and fans, you’re the best!”
Despite the public relationship declaration, they’ve steered clear of the spotlight since. The singer did confirm they had become engaged, with businessman and philanthropist popping the question during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
