Clavicular, the poster boy for the “looksmaxxing” subculture, whose real name is Braden Peters, has been charged with rape and drug offences in a Massachusetts court.
The 20-year-old influencer is accused of supplying a 17-year-old girl with vodka before raping her. He is scheduled to appear for an arraignment on October 14, where he will be brought before a judge to hear the formal charges against him.
The charges were filed in a Cape Cod district court on September 8, court records show, and a summons was issued the same day. A representative for Clavicular, Mitchell Jackson, told news outlets that The Bulwark, an online news site which first reported the charges, was “exaggerating” its report.
The alleged offence is said to have occurred at a party at Peters’ parents’ Cape Cod home, where he was serving alcohol during a livestream. According to the police report, which has been published by LA Mag, he also “instructed” the alleged victim “to lie on the livestream to say that she is eighteen years old”.
The police report notes that the teenager “did not tell anyone the full extent of what occurred” for some time after the alleged incident.
In April, she filed a lawsuit against Peters containing allegations similar to those outlined in the police report.

The police report also alleges that Peters’ mother and grandmother were at the house during the alleged attack. The report continues, “[she] stated that she fell asleep in his bed and the next morning, she woke up to Mr. Peters ‘having sex with me’”.
Peters has indirectly addressed the allegations on X, writing: “Trying to get my attention in anyway possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you.”
Peters gained an online following through his looksmaxxing videos, an internet subculture which encourages a range of practices aimed at improving physical appearance, including cosmetic procedures and other appearance-enhancing techniques. The online community has roots in the broader incel (involuntary celibate) community .
