The Best Street Style From Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2019 In Paris

What they're wearing in Paris

There’s no doubt about it, Paris is the most fashionable city in the world. So, when the haute couture season comes to town twice a year, it makes the city even more stylish.

As hoards of editors, influencers, models and designers descend on the city for a week of made-to-order fashion, the clothes both on and off the runway catch our attention for all the right reasons. For the spring/summer 2019 season, the streets were packed with logos, animal print and plenty of oversized shapes.

As show-goers braved the subzero temperatures, their outfits channeled the best of the season past, opting for clean lines in sturdy fabrics, Western motifs, blocky heels and pops of neon. Overall, the effect was fresh and timeless. The streets were less about trends and more about a luxurious, high quality aesthetic, something we’ve seen missing from fashion weeks past, thanks in part to an influx of influencers touting fast trends which ride high and die soon after. Moving the needle ever so slightly, haute couture spring/summer 2019 might just mark a return to beautiful, simple clothes.
