Season three of And Just Like That… has officially kicked off production, with the cast – old and new – taking to Instagram to share updates from behind the scenes.
Yes, that’s right, season three of the Sex and the City reboot is officially on the way, with Sarah Jessica Parker, aka Carrie Bradshaw, and Cynthia Nixon, aka Miranda Hobbes, taking to Instagram to share pictures from their first table read.
‘Here we go’, SJP wrote alongside her post, which showed a script penned by creator and director Michael Patrick King for season three, episode one.
Meanwhile, we’ve already received news of a new cast addition.

Who Is In The Cast Of And Just Like That Season 3?
While details about the third season have been kept firmly under wraps, fans can expect the return of Carrie and her best pals, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis), as they navigate life and friendship in their 50s.
“We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors,” said executive producer and showrunner Michael Patrick King in a statement. “And Just Like That… here comes season three.”
Meanwhile, we have a new addition in Rosie O’Donnell as a character named Mary.
A native New Yorker, O’Donnell is a long-time acquaintance of both SJP and Cynthia Nixon.
We can also expect to see the return of Sarita Choudhury (Seema) and Nicole Ari Parker (Lisa) in season three, judging by the focus of their own separate storylines in seasons one and two.
Sara Ramírez (Che) and Karen Pittman (Nya), however, will not be returning after the former’s storyline ended in season two, and the latter was unable to make it work due to scheduling conflicts.
As for Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha in the original franchise, while she made a cameo in season two’s final episode, it’s unlikely we’ll see anything more from her given her history with the franchise (more on that here).
What Is The Release Date For And Just Like That Season 3?
A release date for AJLT season three is yet to be announced, but we won’t have to wait long as it looks like filming will commence soon.
Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte, took to Instagram in March to share a montage of behind-the-scenes moments from the show, writing: “It’s almost that time again… can’t wait to be reunited with my AJLT family.”
