We’ve Found The Most Transportable Blush And Eye Palette

Our blush crush is ever present - and now Natio has nailed on-the-go touchups.

From Margot Robbie’s seductively flushed cheeks after being out on the moors in Wuthering Heights, to the Bridgerton cast’s romantic and rosy pops of flush. Blush is an undisputed makeup bag must-have. And teaming the look with eyes and highlight in similar tones only fast-tracks you to a complexion that feels brimming with health.

Softly flushed cheekbones to a stipple of rosiness across the bridge of the nose. A glow that rises daringly up to the temples. We all want a hard-working blush and its ancillary. And dare we say we also want a wardrobe of blush (and the makeup to match it) to come with us everywhere.

Natio Hello Colour Berry Pocket Palettes, $19.95 each.

Natio Delivers Handbag-Friendly Makeup

Australian brand Natio has come to our collective need. Designed for a life lived between school drop-offs, desk-to-dinner pivots and last-minute plans (sound familiar?), Natio has distilled the modern makeup wardrobe into something more agile.

Its Hello Colour Pocket Palettes are slim, vertical stacks of four coordinated shades designed to slip into even the smallest Dior bow bag.

A Must For Busy Women

“Women always tell us they lead busy lives, constantly running from work to events and spending time with friends and family. so we wanted to design a portable and affordable
product,” confirms Eliza Hunt, Natio’s product developer.

Each pocket-sized tower houses a quartet of powders (with define shadow, highlight shadow, blusher, highlighter) in complementary shades. The powders themselves are richly pigmented and infused with avocado and jojoba, so they lay down like a dream and blend seamlessly with no drag, patchiness or fallout.

They can be applied with a brush or fingertip (so no mess) and are buildable and bendable, easily taking you from a fresh-faced morning to late-afternoon luminosity.

Finding it hard to tear yourself away from your trusty horizontal palette? Consider this: “Compact and lightweight, the vertical palettes will take up less space in your makeup bag,” says Hunt. “This makes them great for travel, and they’ll fit inside your handbag,” says Hunt.

Translation: touchups anywhere, anytime.

Colour Update

There are five, Australian-inspired colourways. Nude offers neutral shades in soft matte finishes. Petal blooms in rosy tones with soft pearlescence. Bronze delivers golden tones that bring instant warmth and sun-kissed radiance. Peach offers juicy, golden coral hues that enliven eyes and cheeks. And Berry brings the drama with rich shades that glisten with a subtle shimmer.

“Berry or Petal work for a bright metallic eye, while Peach makes eyes pop with warm, sunlit oranges,” says Hunt. “For a golden glimmer, select Bronze, or if you prefer neutral mattes, Nude is perfect.”

Each limited-edition palette features a mix of metallic, satin, shimmer and matte finishes, plus a built-in mirror for on-the-go precision. Proof that good things come in small (stackable) packages

Blend well: “Sweep blush onto the apples of the cheeks, blending upwards in sweeping motions for a lifted, natural flush.”

Find you high points: “Apply highlighter to the high points of the face – cheekbones, brow bone, bridge of the nose, cupid’s bow – to add dewy glow.”

Play with shadow: “Apply the defining eyeshadow shade softly through the crease to define the eyes.”

Then add light: “Add highlighter eyeshadow on the centre of the eyelid and inner corners to brighten eyes.”
