While luxury watch brands race to outdo one another with complex mechanics and oversized statements, Omega is proving there’s another route to desirability: perfect the piece, then make it irresistibly wearable.
Since the launch of the brand’s now-iconic Constellation Manhattan watch in 1982, its distinctive claws, integrated bracelet, slimline Roman numerals and statement diamonds have become recognisable house codes. This year, Omega has released nine new models in the Constellation collection, boasting some 20 individual design options that lean into the personal style of the modern woman, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Instead of simply offering different metals, the brand plays with colour, texture and unexpected materials, creating watches that feel more like luxurious fashion accessories.
The standout is undoubtedly the 29mm Sedna Gold model, where a ring of diamonds frames an iron meteorite dial washed in warm rose-gold tones. Every meteorite slice carries a naturally unique crystalline pattern, meaning no two dials are identical – a detail collectors obsess over.
Also incredibly striking is the Moonshine Gold edition, where the mother-of-pearl dial is engraved with a swirling Supernova motif that catches the light with every movement.
The dial colours bring their own personality. A patchouli blossom shade offers an unexpected earthy lilac, while celestial blue, blush rose and matcha green provide modern alternatives. For traditionalists, a two-tone steel and yellow-gold model with mother-of-pearl keeps things classic, while smaller 25mm versions tap into the growing return to more delicate, jewellery-sized watches.
The renewed fascination with Omega’s Constellation isn’t accidental. Vintage Manhattan timepieces are enjoying a resurgence among collectors and fashion insiders, fuelled by a broader appetite for high-end ’80s design.
But the Constellation’s enduring appeal doesn’t come from being the loudest watch in the room. It’s due to the fact it continues to evolve with the women wearing it.
