Kendall Jenner is no novice when it comes to the Met Gala and it showed when she turned up to the 2026 affair in a look that managed to be both high concept and deeply wearable.
Arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for her eleventh Met Gala, Jenner wore a custom GapStudio dress designed by Zac Posen, inspired by the Winged Victory of Samothrace — one of the defining Greek sculptures in the Louvre collection.
Styled by long-time collaborator Dani Michelle, the look was a direct response to this year’s “Fashion Is Art” dress code and was, if you ask us, immediately recognisable. What proved even more inspiration was Kendall’s golden glow — utterly goddess worthy and as it turns out, surprisingly acheivable.
The model’s makeup artist, Mary Phillips, shared a sneak peek at all the products used to create the look via Instagram with a snap of her L’Oreal Paris stacked kit.

The secret to that luminous, sculpture-worthy skin? The L’Oréal Paris Lumi Glotion Natural Glow Enhancer, a deceptively simple product that delivers hydration and an all-over lit-from-within radiance in one step. Infused with luminous pearls, glycerin and shea butter, it casts the kind of golden-toned highlight that reads beautifully both on a red carpet and, critically, in natural light — all while keeping skin genuinely hydrated throughout the night. Phillips applied it to Kendall’s face and body — a technique that speaks to the total-look thinking behind a Met Gala appearance, where every centimetre visible is considered.
To ensure that carefully constructed complexion survived the chaos of the night, Phillips reached for the L’Oréal Paris Infallible 3-Second Setting Mist. The quick-drying, micro-fine mist locks makeup in place for the long haul, leaving nothing behind, just a transfer-proof, mask-proof finish built for a long night out.
And while Kendall’s lips kept things deceptively understated (a hallmark of Phillips’ signature approach) beauty obsessives will want to note that the look also featured the not-yet-launched-in-Australia L’Oréal Paris Blurfiller Blurring Lip Contour, a viral sensation overseas that’s being compared to far pricier alternatives. With its wide dome tip and ultra-blendable velvety formula, it defines and plumps lips without filler. It’s expected to launch in August, so set your calendar reminders now.

The gown was floor-length and draped, constructed through asymmetric gathering and ruching that wraps around the body from a single shoulder strap. The fabric was pulled and knotted at the hip, creating movement and tension through the silhouette, with the skirt drifting into a modest train.
Beneath the draped exterior, a nude-illusion bodice peeked through the T-shirt top layer.
It was the choice of base fabric however, that caught us off guard, with Posen revealing he utilised a classic GAP t-shirt to construct the red carpet piece.
“We began with something very simple — a white Gap t-shirt — and started to manipulate it, pulling and draping to echo the movement you see in carved parian marble,” Posen told Cosmopolitan.
“The t-shirt is a wardrobe essential; it moves with the body, and that felt aligned with the spirit of the theme. From there, it became very tactile — jersey, moulded leather, draping — to create something fluid, sculptural, and alive.”
Completing the look was a Buccellati white-and-yellow-gold pendant necklace embellished with pearls and diamonds, worn backward. Delicate diamond drop earrings and a white ring finished the jewellery.
