It’s official! Farmer Alex has chosen Eddy as his leading lady.
After choosing Rachel for a solo date in the previous episode after she “won” the chemistry challenge, Alex admitted to cameras that he’d actually thought he was picking Eddy (the downside of making decisions while blindfolded). Before the date had even begun, Alex told Rachel it wouldn’t be fair to keep exploring their connection because his feelings for Eddy had become too strong. Rachel took it like a champ and, after a gracious goodbye, boot-scooted her way off the farm.
Back at the ranch, Eddy discovers a handwritten card from Alex asking her to wear something dressy and telling her he’ll be waiting for her.
Cast your mind back to episode one, when Alex revealed his dream wedding would look like the forest wedding in Twilight. Well, he certainly delivered. As Eddy approached him through a fairytale-like forest surrounded by clusters of vibrant flowers, the look on his face said it all.

He even took a moment to compliment her fresh tan, telling her it “looks nice”. Honestly, it really is the little things!
While the pair weren’t exchanging vows, Eddy’s choice of a white halterneck midi dress felt like a fitting choice for their romantic finale.
Alex began by admitting just how nervous he had been.
“Today I was so nervous to have you here and I knew as soon as you got here it would feel fine. And it does. Just looking at you, it’s everything.”
He continued by reflecting on the pair’s very first meeting during the speed dates in episode one.
“On our first date what took me most about you was how different it felt around you compared to how first dates usually feel. I was just totally intoxicated by everything about you.”
He continued, “the way that you make me feel, Ed, it scares me. It’s terrifying, to be honest. I haven’t felt this way about anyone before.”

He then confessed what viewers had been dying to hear.
“Your wit, your beauty, your radiance… I’ve fallen in love with you, Ed.”
Although Eddy’s response was delivered with slightly less gusto, she explained that her hesitation came from being hurt in past relationships.
“It’s so hard for me to say that. I’ve just been hurt so many times before. I want to keep doing this with you. I really care about you and I feel like I will definitely get there. I am falling in love with you.”
The pair then shared a long kiss before Eddy playfully asked, “What’s next?” We then see the lovebirds walking hand in hand through the forest, beginning the next chapter of their love story. However the nagging question is are these two still together?

We certainly hope so.
While there’s been no official confirmation that Farmer Alex and Eddy are still together since filming wrapped, there is one small clue that suggests the romance has continued off-screen.
On Instagram, Alex follows not only Eddy, but also her brother, Will Fry. Is that definitive proof they’re still together? Of course not. But it does suggest the pair remained close enough for family connections to extend beyond the show.
Sure, I still follow the siblings of a few amicable exes, so we’re not calling this a smoking gun. But until the reunion airs, it’s one of the strongest clues we have that Alex and Eddy are still very much in each other’s lives.
New Idea has reported that the couple have split, citing unnamed sources. One insider told the publication, “The plan was always to protect the ending,” adding, “everyone wanted viewers to believe they were still together.”
Rather than settling into life on the farm with Eddy, Alex is reportedly spending time with relatives in Brisbane, who are said to be supporting him following the alleged split.
“Alex genuinely thought this could work,” the insider added. “He’s taken the break-up really hard.”
