Gossip has been rife about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce since they announced the split last week, however it seems that media outlets aren’t the only ones writing about their divorce.
Several companies, including Norwegian Airlines, Ikea and more, have already responded with advertisements to promote their own products.
Independent spoke to Maria Vardy, managing director of marketing agency Jaywing, about how sensitive companies need to be during these times.
“There’s a fine line in getting the approach and sentiment right, especially in the case of brand Brangelina,” she said. “The end of their relationship is also the end of a lot of the emotional development associated with them as a couple and as a family.”
