Awards season is officially underway, and the 2026 Golden Globe Awards are once again setting the tone for Hollywood’s biggest year in film and television.Often considered the first major stop on the road to the Oscars and Emmys, the Golden Globes are known for their looser atmosphere, champagne-fuelled acceptance speeches and the rare crossover of film and television categories under one roof.

For the first time this year, the awards ceremony is also introducing their Best Podcast category with nominees including Call Her Daddy and Armchair Expert.
Leading the race is One Battle After Another with an impressive nine nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director and recognition across its major acting categories. Close behind are Sentimental Value with eight nods, Sinners with seven, and critical darlings Hamnet and Frankenstein, both of which have emerged as serious contenders.
The 2026 Golden Globes marks the ceremony’s 83rd year and are taking place in Los Angeles on January 6th in the U.S. (7th in Australia) and will be airing live from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
Australian viewers can watch the 2026 Golden Globe Awards live on Monday, January 12, with the ceremony streaming in real time via Paramount+. The broadcast airs locally, beginning at 11am AEDT, meaning audiences can tune in live without a late night or early alarm.
For those who miss the live stream or prefer an evening viewing, Network 10 will air a same-day replay in primetime, allowing viewers to catch all the major wins, speeches and red-carpet moments later that night. The broadcast will also be available to wacth back via 10 Play or Paramount+ once the live broadcast is over.
