The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are preparing to welcome their first child in just a matter of months, and the royal couple are expected to be well settled into their new home, Frogmore House in Windsor, by then.

The royal couple are now focusing on where Meghan will give birth, and the famed Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital where Kate Middleton delivered all three of her children, is reportedly not a contender, PEOPLE reports.

Meghan and Harry are thought to be considering various options, including Frimley Park hospital in Surrey – where Sophie, Countess of Wessex had her two children.

Frimley is just 25kms from Frogmore Cottage and the hospital gained a strong royal connection when Sophie was rushed there in an emergency to have her daughter Lady Louise Windsor in 2003.

The couple are also reportedly considering a home birth.

Frogmore Cottage is not only privately located, but also features a spare room set for Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, when she visits.

Both options are steering from royal tradition, as the couple will opt out of posing with their new baby on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital in London.
