Much like a packet of Tim Tams or bottle of wine, sometimes you can't help but consume an entire Netflix series in one go.
According to Netflix, more than 8.4 million viewers have powered through their favourite television series in a day. And with the binge-watching phenomenon comes a new term: binge-racing. Binge-racers are known to watch an entire season within 24 hours of its release.
In Australia, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life turned out to be the most binged raced—the marie claire office probably contributed to a few of those views. And with just four episodes in the new season, it’s a fairly manageable to devour in a day.
Also topping the list were Marvel’s The Defenders, Drew Barrymore’s morbid but hilarious Santa Clarita Diet and The Seven Deadly Sins. Orange is the New Black and Stranger Things earnt spots on the list too (obviously).
Another fascinating gem of information: the Australian Capital Territory topped the list of binge-racers per captita within Australia, followed by Queensland and Tasmania.
As Netflix revealed, one dedicated viewer managed to binge-watch 13 shows within 24 hours (seriously, are they writing about me?).
