F5 Collective has launched a new national survey designed to capture the economic impact of women across Australia.
The Women’s Economy Survey aims to build a clearer picture of how women create commercial value, from building businesses and turning ideas into income to influencing the companies and products they support.
According to F5 Collective, women’s economic activity has not previously been captured in one clear national picture, despite women building and buying businesses, transforming their expertise and influence into commercial value, and shaping which companies grow through what they trust, buy and recommend.
The three-minute survey is open to women across Australia who build, create or back businesses.
Participants can choose from three categories that reflect different ways women contribute to the modern economy. Women Who Build is for those building, buying and growing businesses, while Women Who Create focuses on women turning ideas, expertise, influence and community into commercial value. Women Who Back is for women directing capital and demand through what they trust, buy and recommend.

“The data has not kept pace,” Tracey Warren, CEO and Founding Partner of F5 Collective, said. “When evidence is missing, outdated assumptions fill the gap and shape who gets seen, supported and funded.”
The survey consists of five core questions and takes approximately three minutes to complete.
Participants who meet the eligibility requirements can also enter for the opportunity to receive one of five $5,000 F5 Collective grants, with terms and eligibility applying.
The survey findings will be used to inform The Women’s Economy Report, which F5 Collective says will create an evidence base to support decision-making across capital, business, policy and commercial partnerships.
The initiative is intended to put women’s experiences and economic contributions “on the record” and provide a more complete picture of their impact on Australia’s GDP.
