‘The Bachelor’ Australia’s New Intruder Bec Opens Up About Her “Instant Spark” With Locky

"If it was the other way around, I'd be feeling protective over my connection as well"

Making her grand appearance on last night’s episode of The Bachelor Australia, intruder Bec Cvilikas certainly made waves.

While winning over Locky with her adoration of the outdoors and her willingness to go camping, it was quite clear that she has the potential to win over his heart in the end.

Despite no previous intruder ever having won The BachelorBec’s arrival certainly stirs up the drama as she emerges as a strong contender, threatening some of the women’s once-secure positions with Locky.

Speaking to TV Week, the 25-year-old Bec opened up about her arrival on the show and what her instant connection with Locky says about her position among the rest.

“It’s insane how much you can feel for someone when you’ve only met them online,” she said.

“The second Locky and I connected on the screen, there was this instant spark. You couldn’t have wiped the smiles off our faces if you tried!”

“Some of the girls are definitely taken aback by how strong our connection is in such a short time,” she told the publication. “I mean, even I am! I don’t know if the other girls are jealous, but if it was the other way around, I’d be feeling protective over my connection as well.”

According to the publication, Bec is a beauty consultant, who has also modelled “for a few small brands”. Having grown up in a Queensland coastal town, she’s always been known as a “bit of a tomboy”.

Bec also added that she didn’t recognise Locky from his season on Survivor Australia when he was announced as The Bachelor.

“After I did my quick stalk, I was like, ‘Yep, what a hunk!’ I knew instantly we were going to have a lot in common.”

While the odds certainly seem in her favour—especially if Roxi’s freak out was anything to go by—Bec looks to be sailing her way straight to the top.

The Bachelor Australia airs on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30pm on Network 10.
