Hailey Bieber Used This $19 Polish For Her 2026 Met Gala Manicure

Hailey Bieber has built an entire beauty lexicon through her manicures alone. Over the years, there have been glazed doughnut nails, chrome finishes, lemon-yellow talons, cinnamon chrome, tiny fruit motifs and barely-there milky neutrals that have launched a thousand salon appointments.

Few celebrities influence nail trends with the same consistency, so naturally, her manicure at the 2026 Met Gala had beauty watchers hooked.

At this year’s Met Gala, themed “Costume Art,” Bieber leaned into the evening’s sculptural mood in a custom Saint Laurent gown featuring a 24-karat gold bodice and flowing blue silk chiffon skirt. Against such a dramatic silhouette, the understated manicure felt even more intentional.

Behind the look was long-time collaborator and OPI Global Ambassador Zola Ganzorigt, the artist responsible for many of Bieber’s most viral nail moments to date. To complement the look, Ganzorigt opted for OPI’s Put It In Airplane Mode shade, a warm pink-beige nude that tied the overall aesthetic together without distracting from the gown’s impact.

“A nude nail is always a go-to for Hailey,” Ganzorigt told British Vogue, noting the shade offered a fresh variation on the neutral tones Bieber frequently gravitates towards.

“With such a statement look, we kept the nails classic and clean with a nude finish to subtly elevate everything,” the OPI ambassador explained.

The pared-back manicure also marked something of a return to form after Bieber’s more playful recent nail experiments. During Coachella, she swapped her signature neutrals for glow-in-the-dark florals and symbolic nail art referencing husband (and headline performer) Justin Bieber, alongside Brazilian- and Canadian-inspired colour palettes.

Still, Hailey is nothing if not a trend-setter, and I fully expect understated neutral nails to dominate the winter manicure cycle here in Australia.
