There’s a number of fashion and beauty trends predicted to make a splash this season. From vibrant hues to big bows, each aesthetic celebrates a joyful, bold, and aspirational feel.

Below, we speak to fashion and beauty stylists and dive deeper into the up-and-coming trends. Discover which ones suit your personal style, and how to incorporate them all into your summer wardrobe.

Shimmer And Shine

Make way on the dance floor for the crystal-inspired aesthetic that’s set to dazzle this season (thanks in part to Taylor Swift’s Eras tour). Think bejewelled dresses, sequins, attention-grabbing fabrics, and high shine pieces like Swarovski’s gold jewellery collections.

From cocktail rings to hoop earrings, the Dextera collection balances soft, gold shapes with angular crystals, while the Millenia range includes relaxed and timeless bijoux with bold faceted crystals. Each collection brings a new dimension to crystal—making them the perfect glittery pieces to have on high rotation this summer (and beyond).

The crystal-inspired trend is inspiring beauty looks, too. According to Kate Saunders, Senior Buyer of Beauty at THE ICONIC, metallic makeup is about to be everywhere.

“Sparkly makeup is a staple for the party season, and this year we’ll be taking it to the next level with disco-inspired tones for eyeliner and eyeshadow,” she predicts.

Sunset Shades

Daring scarlet hues, glamorous gold tints and buttery yellows are set to rule our wardrobes. Perfect for the hotter weather, this colour palette brings the French Riviera to any look.

“Warm oranges and sunset colours will dominate in styles like bodice dresses with full skirts, cute tie up tops and matching sets,” says Nicole Adolphe, Head of Style at THE ICONIC.

To fully adopt the sunset-inspired trend, pair bright ensembles with luminous and rosy makeup looks. “Strawberry girl makeup has been trending for a few months now, and we don’t expect this to let up as we move into the warmer months,” Kate shares.

“Bold blush has been dominating the runways and is the perfect way to add a faux flush of colour after a day in the sun! Think balm, cream and liquid textures with a glowy finish that will take you from the beach to the bar,” the beauty expert suggests.

Yacht Girl Summer

TikTok’s latest aesthetic means dressing like you’re about to step onto a luxury boat. All you need is a Breton top and some chic accessories (like a handwoven straw bucket hat by Jace Banu, raffia bag or gleaming gold earrings)—and a luxe pair of shades, of course (try the handcrafted styles by VIEUX).

It’s a modern take on nautical stripes, alongside resort silhouettes, printed linens, and the continuation of the lemon and tomato girl trends,” explains Nicole.

For beachside ensembles, try a crochet dress, breathable linen sets, or a silk slip dress. If it screams White Lotus, you’re ready to set sail.

Pretty Feminine

Balletcore isn’t going anywhere. Rather, the feminine athleisure trend is evolving as bows and ribbons become fixtures in clothes, footwear, and handbags.

We will see a shift to pretty, feminine looks with delicate fabrics and statement bows that will have us dreaming of long hot days in Paris, walking through the gardens and eating croissants in romantic silhouettes,” says fashion stylist Nicole.

Healthy Hair And Sunkissed Skin

Pared-back makeup and minimal-effort hairstyles will help you keep your cool in El Niño climes. As Kate says: “A healthy glow is always in style, and summer is the perfect time to shift to a more minimal foundation routine.”

“We’re seeing more skin tints and tinted SPFs, which are a great way to add an extra layer of SPF while letting your natural skin shine,” she says, adding that tinted lip balms are also expected to be a mainstay in makeup bags.

Perfect for when you want to put in minimal effort but still look great, these two-in-one products give the perfect wash of colour whilst still providing the benefits of a balm or treatment.”

As for hair, put down your tools and leave your natural locks loose. Think glossy and healthy hair enriched with nourishing masks and oils (and perhaps a little bit of ocean spray).
