April 1st – April 25th: Mercury Retrograde in Aries
Yes, the dreaded mercury retrograde is officially in full swing, lasting until April 25th.
If you need a reminder, mercury retorgrade is when the planet appears to be moving backwards (although really it’s orbit just slows down for a few weeks).
As mercury is the planet of communication, thought and travel, this period is known to be one fraught with missed connections, travel delays and relationship issues.

April 8: Total Solar Eclipse In Aries
On April 8th, there will be a total solar eclipse.
This occurs when the moon is the right size and distance from earth to completely block the face of the sun for a few moments during its orbit.
While North America is perfectly positioned to experience the full visual (or lack of) this solar eclipse, Australia won’t be cast into darkness.
The phenomena isn’t only amazing to see but may also bring you new starts and opportunities—so stay open to the unexpected during this time period.
Being in Aries, the fire sign connected to Mars and warrior energy, you will likely feel braver and ready to take on new opportunities head on.
August 4th – August 28th: Mercury Retrograde In Virgo And Leo
Another mercury retrograde is coming our way in August—this time in the signs of Virgo and Leo.
Like all mercury retrogrades, this period is likely to bring communication, travel and technology mishaps.
The retrograde will begin in the earth sign of Virgo and shift into the fire sign of Leo—this is a time to be particularly wary of how your words are coming across to prevent any misunderstandings with your loved ones.
September 17th: Luna Eclipse In Pisces
On September 17th, we get another eclipse—this time a lunar one.
This signals the beginning of the next eclipse season, which will continue into 2025.
Even if you don’t see the lunar eclipse, it’s likely that you feel its effects as we find ourselves outside our comfort zones and experiencing moments of growth.
October 2nd: Solar Eclipse in Libra
The last eclipse for the year will be a solar eclipse in Libra.
Unlike April’s solar eclipse, this will be an annular solar eclipse, which occurs when the moon passes directly between the moon and the sun but does not completely cover the face.
November 25th – December 15th: Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius
Just when you thought mercury retrogrades were done for the year, another one will arrive to really finish your year off in style.
Being in the fiery sign of Sagittarius, even the most diplomatic of us might find themselves saying the wrong thing and getting into communication mishaps.
