The marie claire Team Share Highlights From Their Wedding Days

See how members of the marie claire team celebrated their big day

Liz Elton, Creative Director

When: December 26, 2010

Where: The Gunners Barracks, Mosman

What you wore: A custom-made silk gown

Your favorite part of the day: When I saw Tim at the end of the aisle. We automatically went to kiss each other hello and then reeled back because we realised we had to wait for the whole ceremony and then for the celebrant to say that Tim could kiss the bride! It made everyone laugh and made the whole start to the ceremony feel less nerve wracking.

Anna McClelland, Branded Content Editor (Beauty)

When: Saturday 4th May, 2013

Where: St Thomas Anglican Church, North Sydney and Dunbar House, Watson’s Bay

What you wore: Monique Lhuillier dress and Oscar de la Renta heels

Your favorite part of the day: Walking down the aisle was nerve-wracking, but walking back the other way, husband in hand, was so much fun. That, and the speeches! My dad’s speeches are renowned and he outdid himself on this occasion – until he had a slip of the tongue and told everyone I was pregnant (I wasn’t).

Jessica Bosco, Digital Content Editor

When: 28th March, 2015

Where: Cupitt’s Winery, Ulladulla

What you wore: Lisa Gowing and Christian Louboutin shoes

Your favorite part of the day: It’s so hard to pick just one! Before the day everyone told us to make time for each other and stop soak it in because it goes by in a blink, and I felt like this was such good advice and those moments where we did that are some of my favourite memories from the day. Looking around and seeing everyone that meant the most to us in one room and having a great time was also pretty special – especially seeing the dance floor absolutely going off! Having our wedding out of town also meant we had the whole weekend with everyone rather than just one night and I think it helped because everyone was more relaxed and in holiday mode!
