Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are one of Hollywood’s most adorable couples, but before Mila and Ashton there was Ashton and Demi.
Ashton Kutcher was married to Demi Moore from 2005 before they split in 2012, and despite their 15-year age gap, their relationship was very “normal” says Mila during an interview with Marc Maron on his WTF Podcast.
“They had, like, a normal, real relationship,” the actress told Maron. “They had three kids they were raising. It was, like, a normal life … Yeah, he was younger, but he loved those kids.”
She also revealed Ashton still keeps in touch with Demi’s kids, Rumer, 29, Scout, 27, and Tallulah Willis, 24.)
Shortly after splitting with Demi, Ashton and Mila – who were long-time friends after starring together on That 70s Show – and the pair started “hooking up”.
“I did a movie called Friends With Benefits. He did a movie that was very similar: No Strings Attached,” she revealed. “We lived our movies out, where we were like, ‘Let’s just hook up. Let’s have fun. We’re both single. We both trust each other. Everything’s great.’ None of us wanted tension. OK, great. We hooked up for three months. And just like our movies, one of us caught feelings.”
The Black Swan star says she soon knew she was in love with him, which went against their agreement so she told him and had planned to end things.
“He said something, and I was like … ‘Oh, my God. I love this man, and I have to walk away because this is not the agreement that we had. And so I’m going to speak up.’”
The next day the actor asked her to move in with him. And the rest, as they say, is history.
The couple welcomed daughter Wyatt in October 2014, married in July in 2015 and welcomed son Dimitri in November 2016.
