Nothing is hotter in television right now than a great romance series. Throw in a love triangle and a sexy sport, and frankly, you’ve hit the trifecta. So, you’re probably going to be obsessed with Netflix’s new YA show, Crew Girl – and even more so with its genetically blessed cast, including Samuel Braun.
For those just dipping their toes into the new series, it follows Teagan Tao (Miku Martineau) a talented competitive rower whose life is turned upside down when a family scandal forces her and her mum to move towns and schools to the prestigious Easton Prep.
There’s just one major issue: there’s no girls’ rowing team. So, Teagan takes matters into her own hands and joins the boys’ varsity crew. As if that wasn’t enough to navigate, she finds herself torn between two love interests, Josh Regis (Braun) and Cam Dilinger (Kyle Clark).

Who Is Actor Samuel Braun?
Samuel Braun is a 23-year-old Canadian actor who plays the resident rich-and-popular heartthrob at Easton Prep, Josh Regis, in Crew Girl.
While the Netflix series is the actor’s first major lead role, you may recognise him from his cameo in 2026 hit Voicemails For Isabelle, Time Cut or early work in Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters.

Is Samuel Braun Single?
No, Samuel Braun does not appear to be single, sorry ladies. According to the actor’s Instagram Braun appears to be dating fellow actress Shanti Harris.
Judging by their shared Instagram presence, the couple met while working on an independent play in Vancouver titled Mouse Saw The Scream in 2025.
They have since gone on to work on another play, Truth Or Darers by Harris, which will be performed during the Vancouver Fringe Festival this September.
