Natalie Portman Loves This Beauty Trick And We Can’t Get Enough Of

“It’s been so involved to get to be part of this iconic brand that’s so synonymous with luxury and elegance and women’s expression of individuality,” says Portman of Dior Beauty. “It’s also been extraordinary to see the brand grow – and just to see this incredible continuation of support of female artists.”

For the campaign, Portman tells marie claire Australia exclusively that she loved stepping into the Miss Dior character once again.

“It was so fun to get to dance with this character,” Portman says. “I feel like it was such an expression of that freedom, joy, exuberance and lust for life.”

Portman says that she went to Grasse in France to visit Dior’s famed flower gardens.

“It was so extraordinary to go to Grasse and visit the flower fields,” she says. “When the roses are all blooming in May and you can smell their [scent] on the wind, it’s really extraordinary.”

To get the same heavenly waft at home, Portman says she applies her perfume just as her grandmother did.

“My grandmother loved perfume and makeup,” says Portman. “I know the smell of my grandma very well, she had a very particular smell. She was the one who showed me to spray the perfume and then walk through it. My mom did it too.”
