If you have been paying attention to the tennis world then you’ll know that Sebastian Korda, 23, is one player to watch.
The World No. 25 officially turned pro in 2018, winning his first Australian Tennis Association (ATP) title at the 2021 Emilia-Romagna Open in Parma, Italy. The win made Korda, who hails from Florida, the first American to win on European clay in 11 years.
At the third round of the 2023 Australian Open, he knocked out World No. 7 Daniil Medvedev 7-6 (7), 6-3, 7-6 (4) in one of the biggest upsets to the tournament so far—and exactly 25 years after his dad, Petr Korda, won the Australian Open.
His dad was cheering him on from the sidelines at every match, but he wasn’t alone: Korda’s girlfriend was also supporting him from the stands. Now Korda is back in Australia for the 2024 Open, we’re hoping to catch sight of his girlfriend Ivana Nedved again too.
Who Is Sebastian Korda’s Girlfriend?
Sebastian Korda is in a relationship with Ivana Nedved, a 26-year-old marketing graduate from Italy.
Nedved holds a Masters in International Marketing from King’s College and has experience working for Condé Nast Italia, CONI and Alpha Romeo.
And if Nedved’s name sounds familiar, then that’s because she’s the daughter of Pavel Nedved, a retired Czech footballer who is considered to be one of the most successful players ever to emerge from the Czech Republic
How did they meet?
The couple are yet to disclose the details surrounding their first encounter and we can only suspect that it might have been while Korda was playing in Italy in 2021.
While it’s unclear how long the couple have been dating, Korda posted the first picture of the pair on Instagram in September 2021. The picture, showing the couple cuddling up at the beach, was accompanied by the caption “home” and soon followed by a similar post from Nedved.
The loved up couple toured Europe together during the 2022 French Open, posting regular updates to their Instagrams for their fans to see.
Does Ivana Nedved Have Instagram?
Yes—and quite a large one at that. Nedved has almost 78.9K followers on the platform, and regularly posts updates about her life. Most recently, Nedved has updated her followers on her time in London, where she is accompanying Korda during his time at Wimbledon.
