It’s been four long, long years – almost to the day – since we’ve had the grit and glitter of Euphoria grace our screens. But with the release of the season three trailer, we can say with confidence: we are so back.
Fans of the series may have been prepared for the already-revealed five-year time jump, but maybe not so prepared for just how much has changed.
Life hasn’t gotten any easier — the trailer promises more sex, drugs, chaos and reinvention rather than peace or growth. Rue is narrating that life wasn’t what she wished for, and the world feels even grittier with violent debt collectors, cam girls, sugar babies, and everyone surviving within the morally grey areas of life.
What Is Euphoria Season 3 About?
Rue (Zendaya) is still deeply entangled with drugs — but the dynamic has shifted; now finding herself somewhere between a dealer’s middleman and someone trying to survive with unresolved debts.
Jules is back too, now dabbling in sugar-baby territory while studying art, a world that Maddie also appears to be navigating, before insisting she’s “not a hooker”.
Cassie and Nate (Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi) are engaged — but their relationship is far from stable. Cassie has become an online content creator, but based on the trailer it looks less like an influencer-type role and more like OnlyFans, which Nate loudly disapproves of.
As tension and drama builds in the final scenes of the trailer, we see Rue fighting in one dangerous situation after another including becoming a live target for shooting practice, a brief glimpse of a bloodied Nate and a lot of action as our narrator says: “If you make a deal with the devil, there’s no turning back.”
All in all, there’s a lot going on.
When Does Euphoria Season Three Come Out?
HBO confirmed the release date of Euphoria season three alongside the premiere of the full-length trailer, simply captioning: “say your prayers”.
Season three is officially set to return on April 12, 2026, premiering on HBO in the US and streaming on Max internationally.
