Less than a week after The Bachelorette finale aired, and Sophie Monk broke Jarrod Woodgate’s heart to chose Stu Laundy as the winner, rumours of a split have been circulating.
First, photos emerged of Stu and Sophie in a heated discussion (read: argument) emerged on Friday afternoon, right before their super awkward Project interview.
Then two journalists who had talked to the new couple earlier that day posted photos to social media, writing: “She hates him. “ItsDone #PoorSophie.”
Though Sophie and Stu have that maintained their relationship is still very much on, posting both photos and videos to their Instagram accounts following the speculation, many think they just have to keep up the facade as they’re still under contract from the show.
One person who wouldn’t be upset about the quick Bachie break up is runner-up Jarrod, who says he would happily take Sophie back should her relationship with Stu not work out.
Speaking to marie claire following the finale, Jarrod revealed he still loves Sophie, saying: “She’ll always have a place in my heart.”
He then went even further, while on The Project, saying he would “definitely” take her back.
“The feelings are still there, Sophie and I had something real.The connection we had and the emotions we grew over time – what people don’t see behind the scenes is what we’ve actually achieved together.”
